Host of Fox Business’s “Varney & Company” Stuart Varney called out the mainstream media for ignoring a booming economy to help Democrats win in 2018 and 2020.
“Can we just get right at this? The U.S. Economy is booming. Get it straight — the economy in America is absolutely booming,” Varney said on “Fox & Friends” Monday. “But the media is going to ignore that. Because any success for President Trump is regarded as a plus for the November elections and a plus for 2020. The media hates president Trump and will never, ever mention anything truly positive about the U.S. Economy.”
“My contention is that America has now returned to prosperity,” Varney continued. “A surge in consumer spending. A job for everyone who wants one. Confidence in the future at historic highs. Unemployment at a generational low and we’ve just about achieved 4-percent growth. That is prosperity, and you will not read about that on the front pages of newspapers or in the broadcast news headlines. You’re not going to hear it.”

Varney specifically cited The New York Times and Washington Post, along with networks like CBS and ABC for purposely omitting coverage of America’s strong economy, in an effort to settle their personal vendetta against President Donald Trump.
“The ‘New York Times,’ ‘The Washington Post,’ ABC, NBC, CBS — you name it, all of them — they detest President Trump and they’re determined not to give him one ounce of success,” Varney concluded.
