Corey Lewandowski Asks If The Government Had A Spy In The Clinton Campaign To Watch For Russian Interference

Former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski asked if the government felt it necessary to place a spy within the Hillary Clinton campaign Thursday on Fox News Channel’s “America’s Newsroom.”

Lewandowski called out former director of national intelligence James Clapper for trying to justify having an informant within the Trump campaign and said he was a “serial liar.”

“Jim Clapper has now proven to be one of the worst serial liars in our nation’s history,” he said. “Every time this guy opens his mouth, another lie comes out. If he was so concerned that they had to spy on the Trump campaign, were they also spying on the Clinton campaign to make sure the Russians weren’t influencing the outcome of that side of the campaign?”

“Of course not. This was all about Donald Trump. Spygate is very real,” Lewandowski continued.

Lewandowski claimed the deep state is real and was caught by surprise when Trump won the 2016 election.

“Jim Clapper, James Comey — the entire cabal of the deep state never thought that Donald Trump was going to win,” he concluded. “They took out an ‘insurance policy’ to make sure he didn’t win and now they’re trying to justify how they’re going to stay out of jail.”
