“Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane gave $2 million to a Democratic super PAC aiming to flip the Senate in the midterm elections this November, Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings show.

MacFarlane gave $2 million to Senate Majority PAC on April 2, the PAC reported in its monthly FEC filing submitted on Sunday. MacFarlane’s donation made up a little under one-quarter of the PAC’s $8.7 million haul in April, FEC filings show.

“Running transparent, low-overhead, take-no-prisoners independent campaigns, we defend Democrats from Republican attacks, aggressively contest open Senate seats, and go after Republicans on their own turf,” the PAC describes its mission. MacFarlane previously gave the PAC $500,000 ahead of the 2016 election, when Democrats were last thought to have a chance of retaking the Senate.

The Hollywood liberal has been an outspoken opponent of President Donald Trump since before the 2016 election.
