UK Beauty Brand Projects ‘Glitter Butts’ As New Trend For Summer

“Glitter butts” are projected to be this summer’s hottest fashion trend, according to the Daily Mail Wednesday.

Summer’s latest trend involves gluing colorful glitter to one’s backside in order to make designs for social media-worthy posts, the Daily Mail reported. The look is advertised as a risqué trend for summer festivals. However, this trend takes serious commitment since a person cannot sit down nor wear underwear since it could mess up the glittery design.

This trend has naturally taken over social media, according to the Instagram account of UK-based glitter cosmetics brand Go Get Glitter.

“We are all about being creative, free and loving the skin you’re in, which is the message we wanted to portray to people when we created this look,” Sophia Levy, a makeup artist and co-founder of Go Get Glitter told MarieClaire.com.

“Suns out bums out!” reads one caption attached to a picture of a woman wearing metallic bikini bottoms and a glittery ombre design up her legs and backside.

Suns out bums out! Who’s ready for the bank holiday weekend!

Another look features a woman sporting the popular peach emoji on her bottom.

This trend follows the risqué glitter boobs look, which involved going topless with nothing but glitter covering a person’s chest.
