Prof Bashes Biggest Police Group As ‘America’s Largest Fascist Organization’

A professor in Pennsylvania called the Fraternal Order of Police “America’s largest fascist organization” in a tweet discovered Tuesday.
Carnegie Mellon University art professor Paolo Pedercini made this remark when announcing the police organization’s endorsement of then-GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump.

The Fraternal Order of Police boasts a membership of more than 330,000 member officers and pledges to try to improve law enforcement officer working conditions, as well as the safety of communities the officers serve.
Pedercini also suggested a method to combating speakers like conservative commentator Milo Yiannopoulos on campus.
“There is also a third option which is: punch the nazi [sic], take their microphones, but don’t make a spectacle out of it,” Pedercini said in another tweet linking to an article describing how campus activists are “playing right into” Yiannopoulos’ “trolling playbook.”

The art professor posted some “fan art” Sunday based on the Japanese anime Aggretsuko, featuring a feline character Yeti modified with communist slogans like “seize the means of production” and “abolish work.”

Pedercini teaches creative coding, animation, and experimental game design at CMU. He works at the intersection of entertainment and ideology, advocates for “socially conscious gamemaking,” and has produced games pertaining to labor and environmental justice.
CMU is sponsoring an exhibition of Karl Marx-themed artwork, which it described as a “spirited, playful, and international effort,” in which artists “confront capitalism” and “dream of revolution.”
The Daily Caller News Foundation reached out to Pedercini and CMU for comment but received none in time for press.
