Kim Jong Un May Roll Up To Inter-Korean Summit With His Own Toilet

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is expected to bring his own toilet with him when he attends the inter-Korean summit Friday, according to those familiar with his behavior.

Kim will meet South Korean President Moon Jae-in at the border Friday for the first inter-Korean summit in a decade and the third overall. Kim recently met Chinese President Xi Jinping in his first meeting with a foreign head of state since he took power a little over six years ago. Depending on the outcome of the meeting with Moon, Kim may also meet President Donald Trump.

South Korea has been preparing for the upcoming summit for weeks, making sure every detail is perfect.

Where Kim uses the bathroom is apparently a matter of national security for the young despot, according to a former member of the security detail for North Korean leadership.

“Rather than using a public restroom, the leader of North Korea has a personal toilet that follows him around when he travels,” Lee Yun-keol, who served in the North Korean Guard Command unit before defecting, told The Washington Post. “The leader’s excretions contain information about his health status so they can’t be left behind.”

A mobile toilet accompanies Kim on his field guidance trips inside North Korea, the Daily NK reports, citing sources inside North Korea. “He has to travel around the entire country for field guidance, so there always needs to be a personal restroom exclusively for Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un. It is unthinkable him to have to use a public restroom,” a source close to the Escort Command explained.

It is noteworthy that Kim uses the restroom given that his father’s biography claimed that Kim Jong Il never urinated or defecated because his body was more advanced than that of the average human being. Both leaders, however, can control the weather, according to North Korean state media.
