CNN political commentator and former Bernie Sanders press secretary Symone Sanders was detained at LaGuardia airport in New York Thursday morning, after throwing a fit at the security checkpoint.
The 28-year-old Sanders was asked to step out of line for a more detailed check. She refused and made an “unreasonable noise” before cursing in front of passengers and young children, according to a law enforcement report obtained by Pix 11.
This isn’t the first time Sanders has had trouble at the Airport. In May of last year Essence ran an article about American Airlines calling the police on Sanders after she tried to check her luggage just minutes before her flight.
Sanders tweeted the customer service reps felt threatened and said she was in tears. Sanders ended up making her flight.
.@AmericanAir officials literally called the police to come to the gate check area because the customer service officials were threatened.

I don’t understand how getting to the kiosk at 11:01 prevents me from printing a luggage tag for my 11:48 flight? It’s just a luggage tag.

It’s also very stupid that I have to stand in line for 15 mins for something that literally takes 2 secs. Like the inefficiency is baffling https://t.co/t635TQtoBp

Sanders was eventually accused of disorderly conduct and given a criminal summons, according to Pix 11.
