Host of Fox Business’ “Varney & Company,” Stuart Varney, celebrated the appointment of Larry Kudlow as the top White House economic adviser Thursday and said America’s finances will thrive under his leadership.
“I’ve known the man for 30 years. I first met him in the early 1980’s when he was working for the Reagan administration,” Varney said. “Larry Kudlow is a good man, case closed. He is good professionally and a he’s a fine man personally. And I’ve known him all of these years. He stands for growth. Cut taxes, grow the economy, return to prosperity. He was saying that in the 1980’s with Reagan. He’s saying precisely that today.”
Varney also praised Kudlow for his business savvy and policy expertise, while highlighting possible new trade negotiations with China.
“[Kudlow] knows economics. Knows business. Knows policy inside and out. I think that now he’s going to the White House as top economic policy adviser, I think he’s going to be one of the people who fashions a new trade relationship with China,” Varney concluded.
He added:
Because that’s now the focal point of trade debate. A new relationship with China. And that’s what they are going to fashion. And by the way, one of the complainants against China is that they steel our intellectual property. They steal our software from the likes of Microsoft, for example. Well this afternoon Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft he’ll be at the White House for a private meeting with President Trump. I think this is all involved in a new trade negotiation relationship with China.
