College Suggests ‘A Few’ Students Interrupted Sommers, Footage Shows Over A Dozen [VIDEO]

An Oregon college suggested Friday that “a few” students interrupted and impeded feminist scholar Christina Hoff Sommers from giving her speech, but footage shows over a dozen.
Lewis & Clark College made the implication in a Friday statement addressing the disruption of Sommers’ Monday speech to the college’s law school in which student protesters sang “no platform for fascists” and chanted “microaggressions are real,” according to The College Fix.
“We do not condone the intentional efforts by even a few students to prevent this speaker from communicating her views to the vast majority of students who were willing to hear and debate them,” said Lewis & Clark.
Footage from the American Enterprise Institute scholar’s speech indicates more than “a few” students stopped Sommers from speaking.

“Wow! This statement from Lewis & Clark says a few protesters were disruptive for ‘few minutes’—then all fine. Not so,” said Sommers in response to the college’s statement. “I was heckled throughout my talk. Midway, dean asked me to stop & take questions. Was flustered. Didn’t know what to do. Cut speech short.”
Nine different student groups from Lewis & Clark’s law school demanded Sommers, whom they termed a “known fascist,” be disinvited from speaking at the school. The groups asserted the scholar delegitimized female suffering and “embolden[ed] male supremacist groups.”
The Daily Caller News Foundation reached out to Lewis & Clark College multiple times over the span of a few days for comment, but received none in time for press.
