Joe Scarborough Makes Massive Claims About FISA Memo, But Has He Read It?

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough made serious accusations regarding a FISA memo, Tuesday on “Morning Joe,” but has he even read it?

Scarborough said the memo is “distorted” and accused the GOP of trying to hide the full truth. The problem is, Scarborough doesn’t have access to the memo. Anything he says about it is purely based on speculation.

“What’s so interesting is when [the memo] does come out, that will be the first time that most Democrats in the House see it,” said Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

“I don’t know how you can criticize a memo as illegitimate, say it’s release jeopardizes national security, and not read it. But they haven’t,” Tucker continued. “I don’t know what the answer is. We can’t get a Democrat on my show to explain that.”

Fox News’ Brit Hume made the same connection and tweeted about Scarborough’s comments, saying he couldn’t possibly have read the memo.

Fox Business’ Maria Bartiromo interviewed House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy Tuesday, who said he couldn’t divulge information about the memo until President Donald Trump makes the decision to release it to the public.

“Can’t talk about the memo,” McCarthy said. “Got to let the president decide whether it can be released or not.”

The Daily Caller News Foundation reached out to Joe Scarborough for reaction, but did not receive a response.
