Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards called on white women to “do better” in the years ahead during a Women’s March event in Las Vegas on Sunday.
Richards, addressing a crowd of thousands of people, said the burden on pushing the country forward cannot only rest on minority women, before telling white women they needed to “do better.”
“White women, listen up. We’ve got to do better. … It is not up to women of color to save this country from itself. That’s on all of us,” Richards said to cheers from the audience.

“The good news is, when we are in full-on sisterhood, women are the most powerful political and cultural force in America,” Richards added.
This year’s Women’s March, held one year after the first march, focused on voting power and registering more voters.
