The House Freedom Caucus announced its support of stop-gap funding bill Thursday night, according to Politico.
The announcement gives House Republicans the ability to pass the funding measure through the House and then send it to the Senate for further approval. Previously, the Freedom Caucus had warned that its members had enough votes to stop the bill.
“The majority of the @freedomcaucus has taken a vote to support the CR effort this evening,” the group said in a tweet.

The bill still has a rough path through the Senate, as three Republicans along with Senate Democrats have expressed their ability to stop the bill. Should the stop-gap funding bill not pass both House and Senate, the government will face a shutdown Friday night.
