Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie tried to take a special access entrance at an airport Thursday morning, only to learn he no longer has that privilege.
Christie attempted to enter through a special access area that would have allowed him to skip a TSA security check at the Newark Liberty International Airport, reports CBS New York.
A Port Authority officer informed Christie, accompanied by a New Jersey state trooper at the time, that he needed to use the terminal entrance like everyone else. According to a witness, Christie and his escort went through the line without any trouble.
Christie left his New Jersey administration with a 14 percent approval rating, making him the state’s most hated governor in history. Christie had a failed presidential run in 2016 and later came out in support of President Donald Trump shortly after he dropped out.
