Chinese demolition teams completely destroyed a massive and outdated power column in the Hubei province of China, according to a Tuesday video.
The tower, which appears to be several hundred feet tall, was a central structure in a now-defunct power grid stretching across the Yangtze River, the Guardian reported. The power grid was originally built in the 1960s, but has been out of use for much of 2017. Local government officials feared that the outdated power lines stretching across the river were a danger to anyone traveling across it, and so ordered their removal in November.
