FLASHBACK: Susan Collins Called Farenthold ‘So Unattractive, It’s Unbelievable’

GOP Sen. Susan Collins of Maine once called Texas Rep. Blake Farenthold “so unattractive, it’s unbelievable” on a hot mic in July.
“He’s so unattractive, it’s unbelievable,” Collins said in summer 2017, according to the Hill. “Did you see the picture of him in his pajamas next to this bunny, playboy bunny?” she added. Farenthold was photographed at a 2010 campaign event wearing in pajamas with yellow ducks printed on them, standing next to a lingerie model.

Farenthold’s sexual history has cycled back into the news after a Friday Politico report that “only one House office in the past five years had used an Office of Compliance account to settle a sexual harassment complaint.” The report added that Farenthold used taxpayer dollars to settle his personal indiscretions. Farenthold was also quoted Friday saying that he would be willing to take on any lawmaker holding up the health care repeal, according to the Hill.
Collins originally made her remarks about Farenthold after he blamed a certain few “female senators from the Northeast” for the inability of Congress to repeal the health care bill.
