Roy Moore’s Communications Director Resigns

Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore’s communications director has resigned from the campaign, according to a Wednesday report.

John Rogers resigned as Moore’s communications director due to his “lack of experience” in handling the press. An aide to Moore confirmed with Fox News that the change was necessary.

“Unfortunately John just did not have the experience to deal with the press the last couple of weeks, and we’ve had to make a change,” one of Moore’s aides told a reporter.

Rogers’s resignation comes as Moore, a former Alabama state supreme court justice, stands accused of making sexual advances toward a number of teen girls when he was in his 30s.

The Alabama special election between Moore and Democrat Doug Jones takes place Dec. 12.
