Feminist lawyer Gloria Allred’s daughter apologized for taking Harvey Weinstein as a client and is calling it a mistake.

Lisa Bloom, 56, a feminist and civil rights attorney like her mother, admitted taking Weinstein as a client was a “colossal mistake,” according to Buzzfeed on Saturday.

“It’s gross, yeah,” Bloom told George Stephanopoulos on “Good Morning America.” “I’m working with a guy who has behaved badly over the years, who is genuinely remorseful, who says, you know, ‘I have caused a lot of pain.'”

“I can see that my just being associated with this was a mistake,” added Bloom to Buzzfeed News. “All I can say is, from my perspective, I thought, ‘Here is my chance to get to the root of the problem from the inside. I am usually on the outside throwing stones. Here is my chance to be in the inside and to get a guy to handle this thing in a different way.’ I thought that would be a positive thing, but clearly, it did not go over at all.”

Even from her own mother, who wrote in a statement: “Had I been asked by Mr. Weinstein to represent him, I would have declined, because I do not represent individuals accused of sex harassment,” adding: “I only represent those who allege that they are victims of sexual harassment. While I would not represent Mr. Weinstein, I would consider representing anyone who accused Mr. Weinstein of sexual harassment, even if it meant that my daughter was the opposing counsel,” reported Variety.

Bloom released a statement apologizing for taking Weinstein as a client, calling herself, “A women’s rights advocate.”

She added on Twitter that she resigned as an advisor to Weinstein Oct. 7.

She previously took on other controversial figures as a client, saying that she was “proud to announce that I represent Kathy Griffin” after she held up a bloody and decapitated head of President Donald Trump.

Bloom noted that she will no longer represent men who are accused of sexual misconduct.
