Ben Shapiro Says To ‘Trigger People With Truth’

Political commentator Ben Shapiro expressed the need to “trigger people with truth” while speaking with The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Rob Shimshock on “The Shimshock Show.”

“There is a difference between drinking leftist tears and espousing a good ideology. You can do both, but you shouldn’t just focus on ‘oh, I triggered a lefty and therefore I did something worthwhile,'” Shapiro said. “Well, it’s very easy to trigger people on the left; that doesn’t necessarily mean that you said or did anything worthwhile. You should trigger people with truth.”

The conservative author implied that individuals on the left also provoke senselessly, referencing the photo of comedian Kathy Griffin brandishing President Donald Trump’s severed head.

“If you drop the f-word, people will automatically laugh because it’s shocking,” Shapiro said. “But the question is: can you be clever enough to actually push a philosophy while also being funny?”
