“[Bell was] gracious and funny. Very funny. We sat down and rehearsed the songs she was going to sing. She wasn’t demanding or diva-ish in the slightest,” Rodriguez said. He said she had reached out to Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer to see if and how she could help hurricane victims.
She invited a local Orland police officer up on stage to provide interpretive dance and a woman to sing along while she performed “For The First Time” and other ballads, bringing smiles and laughter to the audience.

When #HurrcaneIrma is at your heels, there's only one thing to do: get to a shelter, grab a mic and SING. #Irma2017 https://t.co/wQIVCqGnyl
