‘Several’ People Injured In Finland Stabbing Rampage

Several people have been injured in a stabbing attack in a city in southern Finland, according to local reports.

The central district in Turku, Finalnd is on lockdown after multiple attackers armed with knives went on a rampage Friday, reports the Daily Mail.

Bystanders say they heard shots fired, and local media is reporting that one person has been shot by police.

Witnesses report seeing at least one person lying motionless on the ground in the city center’s market square. At least two more people have been injured, according to Finland’s national broadcaster Yle.

South-West Finland police tweeted at 4.40pm: “Several people stabbed in central Turku. People are requested to avoid the city centre.”

Police also said one person has been taken into custody.
