NARAL Pro-Choice America launched a Twitter thread Wednesday equating white supremacy with the GOP and pro-life movement.
NARAL’s thread initially criticized two attendees of the white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Va., Saturday, James Allsup and Matthew Heimbach, but then depicted Heimbach as an organizer for the pro-life movement. NARAL claimed that Heimbach’s support of the pro-life movement was enough to prove that all members of the alt-right are anti-choice, and that pro-life supporters naturally support white supremacists.
Anti-choice groups & white supremacists have something impt in common: They both want to control women’s bodies. https://t.co/2A3NYyuQBl

The pro-choice group initially criticized James Allsup, who attended the Charlottesville rally. The tweets accused Allsup of ties to neo-Nazi groups and the KKK and attempted to paint Rand Paul as a supporter of Allsup.

NARAL then returned to discussing Heimbach, the founder of white supremacist Traditionalist Worker Party (TWP). Instead criticizing Heimbach for his violent behavior and beliefs, NARAL implied that the pro-life group, March for Life (MFL), was in league with Heimbach’s supremacist group because the TWP supported MFL’s pro-life campaign.

NARAL continued linking white supremacy to myriad movements and people. The pro-choice group equated President Donald Trump, the GOP, and the pro-life movement as supporters of white supremacy.

Their bodily autonomy, access to healthcare, economic opportunity… #Antichoice policies treat people of color like 2nd-class citizens.

President of March for Life, Jeanne Mancini, disputed NARAL’s claim and stated that March for Life and the the pro-life movement were founded upon the belief in all people’s inherent human dignity.
The foundation of the #prolife movement is respect 4 the inherent dignity of every person regardless of race, creed, disability, politics, etc. https://t.co/6X8oQVvGiD
