One-Year-Old Boy Survives Falling Off A Three-Story Building

An one-year-old boy miraculously survived a fall off a three-story balcony in Patterson, N.J., the New York Post reported Friday.
The boy’s 13-year-old sister was watching him Wednesday night, but he was left alone on the balcony at 8:30 pm. He climbed on a chair and fell off the railing, narrowly missing the spiked metal gate and instead landed on the grass.
Paterson Police Director Jerry Speziale said the boy’s mother was sleeping and the father was showering during the incident, ABC7 reported Thursday.
Another witness reported that his sister ran downstairs to rock him back to sleep and bring him upstairs. A security guard reportedly contacted the police about what happened.
The child is currently at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, under observation but expected to survive.
