Republican special interest group 45 Committee announced plans to invest in a new ad campaign devoted to promoting President Donald Trump’s first 100 days, according to a Friday report from Politico’s Playbook.
The group will spend $1 million sending ads to the swing states of Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin — all states the president carried in the 2016 election. The 45 Committee spent $18,215,330 in 2016 ad campaigns against Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, and $3,123,687 in favor of Trump, according to The Center for Responsive Politics.
The longest of the two ads features a full list of every Trump accomplishment, including the high number of executive orders the president has signed since he took office in January.

The group also plans to run a smaller ad in Harrisburg, Penn., ahead of a Trump rally Saturday.

“45Committee is committed to advocating for reforms that will clean up the mess in Washington by advocating for reforms to the ethics rules and ridding public policy from cronyism that inhibits growth and innovation,” the group says on its website. “45Committee is concerned with the future of our country and will work to restore America’s exceptional promise now and into the future.”
Voters who chose Trump in the 2016 presidential election overwhelmingly approve of the job he’s done as president so far, with 93 percent approving to some degree, according to Thursday’s University of Virginia poll. Trump’s approval rating with the general public is 40 percent in the latest Gallup poll.
Democrats assert that very little has actually been accomplished in Trump’s first 100 days. Trump responded by bashing the 100-day standard as “ridiculous” in a Monday morning tweet.
“We feel very proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish and fulfill the promises that he made to the American people,” White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said on April 21. “But I think it’s got to be kept in context. It’s 100 days, and you’ve got four years in your first term and eight years for two terms.”
