Disgraced former New York Congressman Anthony Weiner could be indicted before the end of the month over the sexual messages he exchanged with a 15-year-old girl, a source close to the case told The Daily Mail Tuesday.

Investigations into the lewd conversations between the New York Democrat and the underage girl were launched in September by the FBI, the New York Police Department, and U.S. attorneys in New York and North Carolina.

A subpoena for the embattled politician’s cell phone records was issued in September as part of the probe, according to CNN.

Federal officials recently interviewed the North Carolina high school student, who reportedly told investigators Weiner encouraged her to role play rape fantasies and referred to himself as “T-Dog” in the texts, The New York Daily news reports. During his initial sexting scandal, which led to his resignation from Congress, the former New York mayoral hopeful used the alias “Carlos Danger” while sexting women outside his marriage.

Weiner’s wife, Huma Abedin, a top aide to Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, separated from her husband after his latest indiscretions were revealed.
