You Ok, Don? Trump Was Twitter-Silent For Almost 30 Hours

Bombastic Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has been a little too quiet on Twitter lately.
Trump was Twitter-silent for close to 30 hours before finally tweeting about an appearance on Fox Business Tuesday afternoon. He then went on a tweet spree about Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, the stock market, unions and cable news.

His final tweet before going silent was a snub at CNN.

The billionaire businessman has utilized Twitter as a way to offer his unfiltered sentiments and instant reactions to the news of the day. Trump’s Twitter has acted as a de facto rapid-response communications outlet for his campaign.
In the past 24 hours, a new Benghazi report came out, the Supreme Court struck down a Texas abortion law and Sen. Elizabeth Warren joined Clinton for the first time on the campaign trail. Despite all the news, Trump gave his 9.37 million followers the silent treatment.
According to NPR, Trump dictates his tweets to a staff member during the day, but posts tweets on his own in the evening.

The New York Times has tried to keep up with Trump’s frequent use of the social media outlet, putting together an updated list of 229 people he has insulted over Twitter.
The Trump campaign hired Jason Miller Monday, who was the senior communications adviser for Texas Sen. Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign.
According to Bloomberg, Miller will take a lead role in the campaign’s message and interactions with media.
A reporter from Vocative asked Trump campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks if “there’s been a shift since Lewandowski in the handling of Trump’s [Twitter] account,” to which Hicks replied, “Nothing has changed.”
