Rainstorm Causes MASSIVE Flooding In DC Metro

A sudden rainstorm made for a soggy evening commute in Washington, D.C., as the Cleveland Park metro station was flooded with calf-deep water.

Videos and screenshots posted to Twitter shows the chaos firsthand:

The Washington Metro Area Transit Authority has announced that for the time being, trains will be bypassing Cleveland Park due to what it deems a “weather related escalator outage/flooding.”

Cleveland Park station is estimated to handle over 4,000 passengers on a typical day.
