Supreme Court Associate Justice Clarence Thomas is delivering the commencement address at Hillsdale College, beginning at 2 p.m. EST.

With the recent passing of Justice Antonin Scalia, Thomas is the Court’s most notable conservative. He’s also one of the few conservative-leaning commencement speaks this year. An analysis of this year’s graduation speakers at top schools found that, among those with known political beliefs, liberals outnumber conservatives more than 4-to-1, and that’s actually an improvement from recent years where the margin could be 7-to-1 or greater.
Hillsdale, though, is known for its conservative student body, so the Thomas pick is less surprising.
