Grover Norquist’s Wife Tweets Classy Response To NYT Writer Who Fantasized About Her Husband’s Death

Samah Norquist, Grover Norquist’s wife, defended her family in the classiest way possible on Twitter after a New York Times columnist fantasized about the death of her husband.
Thomas L. Friedman writing bemoaned the state of the nation’s politics Feb. 17 and lamented the tone of Republican candidate Ted Cruz who, in his words, “speaks of our government in the same way as the anti-tax zealot Grover Norquist, who says we should shrink government ‘to the size where I can drag it into the bathroom and drown it in the bathtub.'”
“Am I a bad person if I hope that when Norquist slips in that bathtub and has to call 911, no one answers?” Friedman added.
The veteran anti-tax campaigner took the insult in his stride, saying on Twitter “an advocate for higher taxes, writes that he wishes me dead. I take that as a high compliment. I wish him a long life.”
Norquist’s wife, who joined Twitter on the same day the column was published, used her first tweet to send a powerful message to Friedman.
