A North Carolina bar is hosting a “chopped” themed fundraiser for Planned Parenthood– the non-profit under congressional investigation for allegedly profiting off the sale of aborted baby parts.
The invitation posted on the Raleigh bar’s Facebook page at one point featured a giant meat cleaver; and a separate e-vite titled the event: “CHOPPED: A Benefit for Planned Parenthood.”

“We’re excited to welcome Planned Parenthood volunteers and supporters for an awesome Saturday afternoon filled with stiff drinks and competition!” the invitation reads.
House Republicans are investigating Planned Parenthood after a series of videos released by The Center for Medical Progress revealed some of its clinics dealings in aborted fetuses. Top Planned Parenthood doctors talk frankly in the videos about the best way to “crush” a fetus inside the womb in order to harvest its most valuable body parts, and in separate footage technicians dissect the remains of a still-fresh fetus pulled from the womb.
“Come out and help us support an organization that continues to offer personalized high quality care to our surrounding community– no matter what!” the bar’s invitation concludes.
Organizers apparently didn’t see an issue with hosting a fundraiser with the “Chopped” theme, which refers to a cooking show in which cooks compete to assemble the best dish from a list of weird ingredients. The loser of each round is “chopped” from the show.
The Facebook invite no longer features the meat cleaver or the word chopped. The event is now titled: “The Borough Bartender Challenge: A Benefit for Planned Parenthood.”
