PLAY TIME IS OVER: 11-Year-Old Boy Shoots Burglar To Protect Little Sister

An 11-year-old St. Louis boy fatally shot someone breaking into his home to protect his little sister.
Police say the boy, who was home alone with his 4-year-old sister, killed the home invader Thursday with one shot to the head and sent the other burglar fleeing, KSDK reports.
Police are searching for the suspect, and said the other home invader, who was 16, was pronounced dead inside the home. The pair had reportedly tried to break into the home several times that day.
The children’s mother was not home at the time, and the investigation is ongoing.
This is one of many recent examples of home invasions being stopped by armed residents. An Ohio man was charged with manslaughter for chasing burglars out of his home and fatally shooting one.
