South Carolina GOP congressional candidate Katie Arrington said a Democratic takeover of the House would bring the country’s economic comeback to a “grinding halt” on “Fox & Friends” Monday.
“If we let the [Democrats] take over the House, we will have two years and the government will be at a shutdown,” Arrington said.
“Our jobs, the economy will come to a grinding halt and Nancy Pelosi and Maxine Waters will spend the better part of two years trying to impeach Kavanaugh and impeach Trump. This is the most important election of this lifetime.”
Arrington said she has the temperament to go to Washington to fight for permanent tax cuts, increase border security and shore up failing infrastructure.
“I have the stomach for it and I have very thick skin … I have been going through this entire election cycle saying that it’s imperative that we make the tax cuts permanent for the middle class, especially, and small businesses,” she said.
“We need our infrastructure back in district and I’ve been having pledge solution roundtables through my campaign to find out what is needed for each community — and border security. I mean, it’s imperative, and all my opponent can do is talk about an issue that is a nonissue, which is offshore drilling.”
“Fox & Friends” host Steve Doocy said Fox News invited Arrington’s Democratic opponent Joe Cunningham onto the show to make his case, but he declined.
