Move Over Trump — McConnell Takes Twitter Trolling To A Whole New Level

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s senate campaign team trolled West Virginia senate candidate Don Blankenship after he lost the primary race Tuesday night.

The tweet comes after Blankenship continued to attack McConnell and his family throughout his campaign, calling McConnell names like “cocaine Mitch” and even making racial remarks about McConnell’s family.

McConnell trolled Blankenship after his loss by using a photo of McConnell that was Photoshopped over a “Narcos” Netflix advertisement. In the photo, McConnell is surrounded by what appears to be cocaine.

After McConnell’s tweet, the official “Narcos” Twitter account responded by retweeting McConnell and saying, “Low blow, Mitch.”

Blankenship also ran an ad titled “Ditch Mitch,” where he continued to attack McConnell and his wife, Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, who is Chinese American.

“Swamp captain Mitch McConnell has created millions of jobs for China people,” Blankenship said in the ad Politico first reported  on May 3. “While doing so, Mitch has gotten rich,” Blankenship continued. “In fact, his China family has given him tens of millions of dollars.”

Blankenship, West Virginia Rep. Evan Jenkins and West Virginia Attorney General Patrick James Morrisey were asked at a May 1 debate if they would support McConnell. All refused to support him. Blankenship even ducked behind his podium after the question was asked.

Blankenship’s loss is a positive sign for McConnell who was not affected by the constant attacks and a win for President Donald Trump, who urged voters to not vote for Blankenship two days before the primary.
