Film director James Cameron called Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump a “madman” when it comes to man-made global warming, the Associated Press reported Wednesday.

The Hollywood director’s short film about the supposed destructive nature of climate change aired Wednesday during the Democratic National Convention.

Trump’s environmental policies are “incredibly reckless, incredibly dangerous,” Cameron told the throng of Democratic delegates and activists gathered at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

The “Avatar” director’s film, titled “Not Reality TV,” shows the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy, as well as raging wildfires, and then backdrops the carnage with clips of Trump calling man-made global warming a hoax.

Cameron told reporters that attacking Trump on his rejection of mainstream climate change science is a winning strategy for Democrats. The director later referred to the real estate tycoon turned presidential nominee as “a madman saying we’re going to tear up” the December climate change agreement forged in Paris.

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton made a cameo, but Trump landed the staring role, as his ideas on climate change get ridiculed. “We need some global warming,” he says at one point. “It’s freezing!”

“We made this film to show the reality of climate change – how it’s directly affecting millions of people each day,” Cameron said in a press statement. “As I’ve said before, to save our planet we need to mobilize like we did during the second world war – the threat to our country and children is that severe.”

China’s communist government hired Cameron in June to promote a campaign to get people to slash their meat consumption to fight global warming. He stared in a series of public service announcements on why meat is bad for the planet, according to The Guardian.

“The second-biggest sector for production of greenhouse gases is animal agriculture,” Cameron says in one PSA announcement on the set of the sequel to his 2009 film “Avatar.”

He added: “Hey, how can I call myself an environmentalist when I’m contributing to environmental degradation by what I eat?”
