Jeb Bush super PAC Right to Rise USA launched a new attack ad in Iowa this week going after Sen. Marco Rubio for missing national security briefings and votes in the wake of the attacks in Paris and San Bernardino.
Bush is currently trailing his Florida rival by nearly 7 percentage points in the Hawkeye State according to the latest Real Clear Politics average.
“Days after the Paris attacks, senators came together for a top-secret briefing on the terrorist threat,” the narrator says in the 30-second spot. “Marco Rubio was missing — fundraising in California instead.”

The ad highlights how the Florida senator has missed more votes over the course of the last three years than any other member of the upper chamber.
“Politics first, that’s the Rubio way,” the ad says at its closure.
The super PAC is slated to spend $1.4 million on advertising over the course of the next two weeks.
Other GOP candidates have also recently come out against Rubio for missing votes. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky went as far as calling on Rubio to resign from his seat after failing to show up for the massive year-end omnibus spending bill.
