Michael Avenatti, the attorney for porn star Stormy Daniels, announced Friday that he launched his own political action committee (PAC) in preparation for a potential presidential run.

“Looking forward to helping Dems take back the House and beyond in 2018,” Avenatti tweeted. “Too much is at stake.”

Avenatti’s tweet linked to a Buzzfeed interview where he describes his presidential aspirations.

“All you have to do is look at all the rumored candidates for the presidency in 2020,” Avenatti told Buzzfeed. “We all know who they are. We all know who has all by made a public announcement to run. And yet, when those candidates are asked point-blank ‘Are you considering running for president?’ instead of answering the damn question, they distract and divert attention away from it.”

“I mean, this isn’t complicated,” he continued. “I was asked and I answered the question. Because that’s the truth. There’s nothing wrong with seriously considering it.”

Avenatti named the PAC “Fight PAC,” which he started Thursday, in reference to his fight against President Donald Trump.

He noted that Fight PAC will not accept corporate contributions, but it will help him with his political travel.
