In a perfectly timed op-ed that conflicts with Secretary Clinton’s prepared speech, Paul Ryan announced that Donald Trump’s recent policy proposals, including his list of Supreme Court nominees was “encouraging.”

Paul Ryan, in a long, carefully crafted article, put policy first, as always. Ryan asserted that it is his job to ensure that Congress pursues a conservative agenda, starting with Obamacare. In addition, Ryan talked about the free-market ideals that permeate everything that he does.

“I’ve spent most of my adult life pursuing ways to help protect the ‘American Idea,'” Ryan wrote, “the notion that the condition of one’s birth does not determine the outcome of one’s life.”

Ryan highlighted the importance that the Republican Congress work with a Republican president. That way, bills that work to improve the tax plan, increase separation of powers, restrict the presidency, and improve America’s stance on the world stage actually get signed.

After all this, Ryan finally comes to the endorsement.

“Through these conversations, I feel confident he would help us turn the ideas in this agenda into laws to help improve people’s lives. That’s why I’ll be voting for him this fall.”
